A Flock of Lapwing

Much of the farm, especially the low lying water meadows are part of an Environmental Stewardship Scheme. We manage the land in this scheme to encourage wading birds such as Lapwing to breed and over-winter. The low lying brook fields also harbour a wide variety of other birds and wildlife such as Roe Deer and Brown Hare that you can often see from the footpaths.
